JACKSON – The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the identity of a man alleged to have robbed the Pilot Travel Center, located at NC 48 and Interstate 95 near  Pleasant Hill, on Aug. 4

Deputies responded there shortly after midnight. Deputy Chris Collier spoke with the cashier and on duty manager about the incident.  The employees told him that a white male handed the cashier a note that this was a robbery and to hand over the money. The cashier complied and the subject left running from the store with the money.

Collier spoke with another witness that saw the subject run towards the on ramp of Interstate 95 southbound.

The suspect is described as a white male about 6 feet tall and approximately 250 pounds. He was wearing a dark color t-shirt and blue jeans.  The suspect may have left on a semi truck with no trailer southbound Interstate 95.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office at 252-534-2611.
