OXFORD – Judith Isabelle Miller, age 74, of Oxford, NC passed away on June 29, 2014 at the Rex Hospital of Raleigh, NC

She was born on February 25, 1940 to the late Daniel and Isabelle Callis Miller in Norfolk, VA. Judith worked as a 5th grade teacher for Mt.Energy Elementary School, teaching reading and recovery. As an avid cat lover, she enjoyed gardening as well. Judith was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.

Judith is survived by her son, Jason Brinkley and his wife Samira, their children, Jackson and Nicholas, and her daughter, Jennifer Brinkley, all of Morrisville, NC; two sisters, Kae Miller Watts and her husband Larry of Fall Brook, CA, and Frances Miller of San Marcos, CA; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 12 noon – 2:00 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with the Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating. Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery.
