BOYKINS, VA – Lois Ann Jenkins Allen, 67, widow of Kenneth Wayne Allen, passed away January 31, 2014 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was born in Potecasi, North Carolina, a daughter of the late L. C. and Annie Vaughan Jenkins.

Lois Ann was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Courtland Healthcare, founder of the Ladies Auxillary of the Boykins Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Boykins Baptist Church.

Lois Ann is survived by her daughter Terry A. Bolton, and husband, Danny; two brothers, Luther Jenkins and his wife, Julia, and Wayne Jenkins and his wife, Donna, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, VA with the Rev. Raymond Bunn officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 3 at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins, VA, and suggest memorials be made to Boykins Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P. O. Box 347, Boykins, VA 23827 or Boykins Baptist Church.
