J.D. Outlaw

AULANDER – J.D. Outlaw, age 74, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was a native of Duplin County.

He was born to the late Gordon and Rosa Garris Outlaw on December 4, 1939. J.D. was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was passionate about landscaping and mowing grass, always wanted the yards he took care of to look the best they could.

J.D. is preceded in death by his parents and left to cherish his memory are his wife Evelyn “Diane” Ainsley Outlaw; four sons, Roy Ball, Jr. and his wife, Cecelia, of Roanoke Rapids, Richard Ball and his wife, Rhonda, of Powellsville, Ryan Ball and his wife, Crystal, of Windsor, and Tim Odom of Aulander; one sister, Elizabeth Goff of Kinston; one brother Bryce and his wife, Frances Outlaw, of Kinston; and eight grandchildren, Makayla, Linsey, Haley, Brandon, Savannah, Cadence and Adam Ball.

A memorial service was held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Hurdle officiating.
