AHOSKIE – Betty Dickens Ouellette, age 71, of Ahoskie passed away on January 15, 2014 at her home. She was born on May 19, 1942 to the late James and Susie Dickens in Woodland, NC.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Veronica Elaine Bunch; four sisters, Lois, Inell, Christine and Virgie; and two brothers, James and William Ray.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Barbara Dickens of Ahoskie, Donna Place and her husband, Neal, of Creswell, and Kimberly Dean Leonard of Conway; three sisters, Nellie Morris of Aulander, Sue Dunlow of Ahoskie, and Rose McLaurin of Aulander; four granddaughters, Cindy Lassiter, Lacey Claxton, Jessica Jones and Erika Rhea; one grandson, Joshua Claxton; one great-granddaughter, Melissa Leonard; and three great-grandsons, Quincy Claxton, Justin Resendiz and Caden Resendiz.
