WINTON – Aretha Manley Greene, 80, of Winton made her transition Monday, December 2, 2013 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, three sisters: Marie H. Manley, Beatrice M. Hicks and Doris M. Diggs; one brother: Gary L. Manley (Avis); six step-children: Danny Greene (Brenda) and Justene (Brenda), Linda Green Melton (Johnnie), and Leslie Greene (Wanda) of Atlanta, GA; Winston Greene of Washington, DC; Willifred Greene of Newport News, VA; and a great host of cousins, nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Phillipi Baptist Church, P. O. Box 5; 550 NC Highway; Cofield, NC 27922 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the church in her name.
