AHOSKIE – Macie Ann Farley, age 80, of S. Pembroke Ave., Ahoskie, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 in Brian Center of Windsor. Miss Farley was born in Manhattan, KS on October 19, 1933, a daughter of the late Hermon and Gainor Kessler Farley.

Macie was retired as a secretary for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie and the Ahoskie Kiwanis Club.

Being predeceased by her extended family member Kent Hoggard, she is survived by Kent’s wife, Shannon, their children, Amy Ormand and husband, Greg, and Landon Hoggard; their children, Haley, Kaitlyn, and Trey Ormand, and Taylor and Lindsay Hoggard; and Steve Hoggard and wife, Susan, and their children, Sara, Stephen and Shelby of Ahoskie. She is also survived by special friends, Margaret Winn and Virginia Chitty of Ahoskie.

A celebration of life service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garrett­Sykes Funeral Service of Ahoskie, with the Rev. Daniel Glaze officiating. Burial will follow in HighlandMemorialGardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10, 2013.
