GREENVILLE – Apparently, a riff between a Colerain man and two brothers from Windsor led to a stabbing on the campus of Pitt Community College on Friday morning.

According to information on www.witn.com, PCC officials stated that a long-standing dispute between Jashawn Brown of Colerain and brothers Corey and Kevin Purvis of Windsor escalated into a fight behind the Reddrick Building around 11:20 a.m.

PCC says Corey Purvis was stabbed, while Brown received some other type of injury. Both were treated and released from Vidant Medical Center.

Brown, who is not a student at the community college, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, simple affray and having a weapon on campus. His bond was set at $50,000.

Meanwhile, the Purvis brothers, both who attend PCC, were each charged with simple affray.
