CONWAY – Flossie Martin Vick, 86, went to be with the Lord on April 9, 2013 at Kindred Healthcare of Ahoskie after a lengthy illness.

A native of Northampton County and the daughter of the late Ira and Hattie Mae Martin, she had been preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, James Washington Vick. Mrs. Vick was a homemaker known for her good cooking, had been a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, and, currently, was a member of Conway Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, James Wallace Vick and his wife, Geraldine, of Preston, Mississippi; grandson, Mark Vick of Meridian, Mississippi; great grandchildren, Tyler and Brett Vick of Meridian, Mississippi; and two sisters, Marion Wilson and Julia Beasley of Richmond, VA.

A visitation will be held at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway on Thursday, April 11 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and her graveside service will be held Friday, April 12 at 2 p.m. in the Milwaukee Cemetery with the Rev. Willie McLawhorn presiding.
