MOREHEADCITY – Constance McGill Purdom, 71, of Morehead City, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Carteret General Hospital.

A private memorial service will be held at her daughter Tracy’s home in Otway, NC.

She was a loving Navy wife and mother, fully committed to her Navy and family. She worked as a certified hairstylist for many years.

She is survived by her children, Jeannie Marie Lorts McGregor and husband, Bruce, of Southlake, TX, Nicholas Jay Lorts and wife, Lisa, of Imperial, MO, Tracy Garland Lorts Brooks and husband, Joseph, of Otway, NC, Jonne Alayne Purdom Thurman of Beaufort, NC, and Samantha Pat Watson Armstrong and husband, David, of Monteray, VA; grandchildren Mark Anthony, Darlynn Marie, Caitlyn Nicole, Sean Michael, Sabrina Morgan, Nicholas Jay, Makenzie Jeanne, John Gilbert, David Lee, Sarajean Marie, Megan Faye, Madison Grace, and Nicolla Constance; and two great grandchildren, Michelle Alayne and Brody Gabriel.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Anthony Kirk and Joseph Patrick Watson.
