Minnie B. Horton

EURE – Minnie Belle Morgan Horton, 92, of 20 Horton Lane, Eure, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 in her home.

Mrs. Horton was born in Gates County, and was the daughter of the late William Henry and Nona Ellen Horton Morgan.  A homemaker, she was a faithful member of Cool Spring Baptist Church and its Basil Crawford Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clyde Horton; a son, Clyde Wayne Horton; and grandchildren, Janice Conner, Becky Mansfield, and Timmy Horton.

Surviving are a daughter, Peggy H. Pearce and husband Richard; and two sons, Robert Earl Horton and wife Linda, and Frank Horton, all of Eure; six grandchildren, Stacy, Greg, Kevin, Billy, and Joni Horton, and Leah Allen and husband Jamie; and five great-grandchildren, Brittney Mansfield, Kaitlyn and Caleb Allen, and Halleigh and Summer Horton.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in Cool Spring Baptist Church by the Revs. Roger Kiker and Gilbert Crawford.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, handling arrangements.  Friends may join the family at her residence.
