A North Carolina man found murdered on Tuesday in Isle of Wight County had been living with his grandparents in Murfreesboro, according to information from the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office.

Torrey Lamont Anderson, 21, of Raleigh died from a gunshot wound, according to the medical examiner. His body was set on fire near Nike Park Road in Carrollton and found near a car that had been burned, said Capt. Rick Gaddis.

Officials have no suspects or a motive for the murder, Gaddis said.

Anderson had been commuting to Isle of Wight while employed by a subcontractor at Smithfield Foods.

Investigators identified Anderson after finding his fingerprint; he had been jailed twice since June 2011 for firearms possession, felony breaking and entering, and larceny.

@skippy1975…It’s not so much about what happened to police protection as it is about what happened to people PERIOD! When they didn’t get guidance at home from the time they were born til they are grown, then they never learn self control, right from wrong and respect for themselves and others. Police can’t raise em. People need to take responsibility for their actions.

According to the Daily Press Newspaper, Anderson was spending time with a woman from Newport News. Newport News is a violent city. I wonder did he get set up or something?
