MILWAUKEE – Kenneth Lewis Smith, 66, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Born April 30, 1946 to Leora Britton Smith and the late James Graham Smith, he graduated from Northampton County High School and entered the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.  He worked for Union Camp Corporation as Plant Manager at their Seaboard Mill.

He is survived by his wife, Penny; two daughters, Marie Smith and Stephanie Smith Britt and husband, Mike; sisters Charline Hollingsworth and Beverly Davis; and three grandchildren, Jenna, Alex, and Hannah Hasty.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, February 14 at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. in Conway and his funeral service with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15 at Milwaukee Cemetery with the Rev. Suzanne Cobb presiding.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church or Conway Volunteer Fire Department.
