Harold James Anders, Sr.

WINDSOR – Harold James Anders, Sr., 74, of 221 Greens Cross Road, Windsor, died Wednesday December 5, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Pickens County, SC December 7, 1937 to the late Alvin Sherman and Dassie Smith Anders.

Harold was a self-employed electrician and a member of Greens Cross Baptist Church.  He was a US Army Veteran and coached little league baseball at Davis Park for over 25 years.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday December 8, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. Al Mizelle and the Rev. Billy Pridgen.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Thomas Anders of the home; sons, Harold J. Anders, Jr. of Littleton and Tommy Anders of Pilot; sisters, Helen Mulenex of WA, Della Lewis of Kelford, Shelby Martin of Owensboro, KY, Thelma Briley, Ruby Bristow and Jane Pruden, all of Roxobel, and Linda Baker of Reidsville; and brothers, Clyde Anders of Windsor, Robert Anders of Rock Hill, SC and Don Anders of Camden, SC.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Friday at Walker Funeral Home in Windsor and at other times from the home.  Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad, PO Box 74, Windsor, NC 27983.
