Rev. Wallace and Joy Phillips of Edenton announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail Ruth Phillips, to Jeremy Scott Wheless, son of Rev. Ronald and Harriet Wheless of Zebulon.  The wedding will take place at Carpenter’s Shop Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. The couple will make their home in Knightdale, N.C.
