AHOSKIE – Northeastern High School scored a victory over Ridgecroft School here Wednesday.

The Lady Rams got a goal from senior Miller Bryant, but came up on the short end of a 7-1 score against the Eagles.

“We obviously didn’t have the result we were looking for, but there were some bright spots,” veteran Ridgecroft skipper Aron Martin said. “We need to continue to work on fitness and continue to improve.”

In addition to Bryant’s work, the coach was pleased with the play of Katie Futrell, Haley Rivera, Marendy Piland, Brooke Colson and Nichole El’Khoury.

The Rams dropped to 0-1 with the loss.
