Bethel Christian Academy’s Lady Eagles have bounced back to win two in a row.

After dropping a non-conference decision at Ridgecroft last week, the Eagles rolled by Jacksonville Christian School 50-31 on Friday before topping Trinity Christian School 48-30 on Tuesday.

Against Jacksonville, the Lady Eagles fell behind early and trailed 16-9 after one quarter. They rallied to hold a one-point edge (23-22) at the intermission.

Bethel continued to pull away in the third and held a 36-31 lead heading into the final quarter. There, they held the Conquerors scoreless and went on to the easy conference win.

Kelsie Conner led the offensive effort with 18 points and completed the double-double with 11 rebounds. Jessica Howerton was the defensive catalyst with 20 rebounds while finishing her double-double performance with 12 points.

Elizabeth Farmer had 14 points for the Lady Eagles in the win and tallied seven steals.

Rounding out the scoring were Kristen Adams (4) and Charitee Dunlow (2).

Tuesday night the Lady Eagles jumped on Trinity early and then held off any comeback attempts. Bethel led 16-7 after one quarter and held the same nine-point edge (28-19) at halftime.

Howerton led the Eagles with a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Farmer was the top scorer with 19 in the win while adding seven steals and a pair of assists.  Conner scored in double figures with 11 and added seven rebounds.

Dunlow and Alyssa Fairless each pulled down six rebounds. Fairless added four points and Dunlow two points.

The pair of wins moved the Lady Eagles to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in their conference.
