What’s in a name?Published 10:31am Thursday, January 12, 2012
After Sunday, I knew every American could lay their head down at night and know that they are safe.
After all, in Wisconsin police were able to finally place a man named Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop behind bars.
And, yes, that is his real name.
According to a story from the Associated Press, police in Madison, Wis. took ol’ Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop into custody some time at the beginning of the month after he apparently violated his bail conditions from a previous crime.
The 30-year-old was charged with carrying a concealed knife, and possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana in April.
His January arrest came after residents complained of excessive drinking and drug use near Reynolds Park in Madison, Wis.
While his name is a tongue twister it is indeed his legal name. He reportedly changed his name from Jeffery Drew Wilschke (snore-fest) to Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop in October.
Now I know I’m not one to write anything bad about another’s name, after all take a look at my surname, on the other hand at least it’s in another language…but then again his is probably in some outer space alien language.
Really, out of all the weird names out there to take you go with the weirdest?
Heck, it’s not even a “name” per se. Rather, it’s a noise some one makes in the middle of a jazz song.
This guy just has no idea what he’s got coming with a name like Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop.
First of all, I hate to be the officer filling out the paperwork. How would all of THAT fit on a tiny line. Can you imagine trying to sign that name on the credit card machine at Walmart?
What if he ever gets married? I don’t know about you, but “Mrs. Zopittybop-Bop-Bop” has that certain ring to it.
As it can be imagined, Beezow Doo-Doo Zopittybop-Bop-Bop’s story has hit the airwaves and every late-night comedian has jumped on the bandwagon.
However, it seems the best jokes come from those posting on that AP article’s comment section. A couple in particular really got me rolling.
One commenter wrote: “Does that mean his wedding next week to Anna anna bo-banna, banana fanna fo fanna is off?”
Ultimately, the best one posted was: “After hours of questioning, he still wouldn’t give up who put the ‘ram’ in the ram-a-lam-ma-ding-dong.”
