Bethel ladies win two straight

Bethel Christian Academy has claimed back-to-back wins.

The Lady Eagles dispatched Terra Ceia Christian School 41-20 last Thursday before topping Gramercy Christian Friday evening.

Against TCCS, the Eagles claimed a 40-21 victory after jumping out to an early lead.

Bethel led 13-4 after one quarter and pushed the advantage to 25-8 by halftime.

Kelsie Conner and Elizabeth Farmer shared scoring honors with 14 points each. Conner completed the double-double with 11 boards. Farmer chipped in seven steals.

Rounding out the offensive threat were Jessica Howerton (6), Charitee Dunlow (4) and Kristen Adams (2). Howerton had 11 boards while Dunlow pulled down 10. Every player on the Eagles roster added a rebound including Taylor Thomas (6), Alyssa Fairless (5), Farmer (3), Adams (3), Kari Brackett (1) and Heather Farmer (1).

A day later, the Eagles opened league play on the road at Gramercy where they secured a 41-37 victory.

Farmer led the offensive effort with 16 points and added six steals. Conner contributed 13 on the offensive end and added seven rebounds.

Rounding out the scoring were Howerton’s eight points and two each from Thomas and Dunlow. Dunlow and Howerton led the rebounding effort with nine each.

The Lady Eagles are 10-2 overall and 1-0 in the league.
